First Annual Fourth Man Up Pumpkin Beer Tournament

Spooky season came and went and the boys did their part and brought you the first annual Pumpkin Beer tournament for you to ring in the fall season with! We saw some huge surprises, some no doubt dominations in match ups, a cider that knocked spooked us to oblivion, and drank some damn gourd beer along the way. After clearing the field, Spooky Tooth from Fat Heads Brewing Co. reigned supreme and was crowned Pumpking on this fateful afternoon, with AFC North weather looming just outside the window, paying perfect homage to Cleveland where our winner hails from.

A very close second and winner of the best can design of the day was the Ellicottville Brewing Company's Pumpkinville Latte Nitro from the backwoods and ski resort town of Ellicottville in Western New York, also a place very near and dear to my heart.

Our final honorable mention of the tournament went out to Great South Bay's Candelabrum for it's originality and play on words, being a phenomenal brew aged in Rum barrels before it was canned. Dad jokes always play well with this crowd!

One final mention. The Cinderella story of the tournament was not an ale, stout, porter, or IPA, but a cider that knocked the tastebuds right on their ass. The much thought to be 8 seed in a power- packed tournament, McKenzie's Pumpkin Cider went on a UMBC style run on the bracket and into our hearts, finishing off in the semifinals.
